Dayna's B-day...

It's my B-day today. We decided to come to Newport for the night. We just finished with dinner. We went to Bandera's. They have amazing cornbread. Nana is watching the kids tonight. The best present mom could ever give me.

This week's highlights:

Danielle is challenging the boys at school to foot races. Steven gave her a 2 second head-start the first day and then it was on. The first day her and Steven tied. The second day there was no head-start and Steven was claiming he barely won. The third day is yet to be determined.

Drew mentioned to Dean that Danielle was buying me a B-day present. Dean asked him if he would like to go in on a present with him so he wouldn't feel left out. Dean suggested a $10 contribution. Drew balked at the $10 with a whimsical look. Dean then suggested a $5 contribution. Drew thought long and hard and replied that he would be willing to contribute $3!

Brinley received a valentine from one of the neighbor boys that also goes to church with us. She was so excited and refused to part with it for even a small moment. She insisted on going to bed with it and when she woke up in the morning, she had it with her again. She kept holding on to it all day and was saying Carson's name as she would wave it at us.
