Danielle was one of about 30 kids chosen to represent Ronald Reagan Elementary school at a 7 school track meet. She took 3rd in the 400 meters. We thought she took third in the softball throw as well, but there was some confusion with the judges and she ended up in 4th place even though her throw was the 3rd farthest. So is life! She also competed in the 4 X 100 relay. It was a fun afternoon for the whole family. We decided to celebrate with a late breakfast / early lunch at Denny's afterwards. The track meet felt like a ward activity in that the following families (Risks, Van Buskirks, Dean's, Whitlocks, and Risenmays) were all there and sitting together.
Drew started baseball this past Thursday. Dad is helping out as an assistant coach! The first practice was a bit uneventful, mainly just throwing and catching. We had fun nevertheless.
