At the same time the temperature in Indio was reaching 119 degrees, the minivan was being packed and a fun 4 week adventure was just about to begin. After an 11 hour trek (the kids were so good, even Brinley) through the desert in "a car with no name", we arrived at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They were kind enough to let us use their basement as a home base for the duration of our stay. The kids were so excited to see Grandpa and Grandma. After hugs and kisses, we headed over to the cousins house for some swimming and pizza.
