Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve. There was a few threats of Santa not coming during the day, but it came together for the evening. It started with a ping pong tournament on the Wii. Brinley is cheering in these pictures after she "won." Danielle beat Drew and Daddy beat Danielle. I lost to everybody. Drew was a little bummed after the tournament, as you can see in the pre-dinner picture. But Dean gave a little thought before dinner that cheered him up some. He said that even though he had threatened to call Santa--after the kids dug up divets the size of grapefruits in our backyard with golf clubs earlier in the day--that our kids are really good kids and have been, for the most part, all year. Dean fixed a ham, potatoes, and rolls (the majority of our family doesn't really dig veggies). Everything tasted really good. After dinner we acted out the nativity scene--a family tradition. As you can see, we had a "Mary switch" mid-story. After putting out the cookies and our questions for Santa, we watched some of "Fred Claus," that we had just bought that day. Drew kept falling asleep, so we decided it was time for everyone to go to bed. But not before we put out some cookies for Santa. Danielle and Drew had some questions they wanted Santa to answer as well.

Drew's questions: How do you go around the world? What is your favorite thing to do? Do you like sour milk?
Santa's answers: SECRET, EAT and NO
Danielle's questions: What is your favorite color? When you come to my house will you please wake me up so I can see you? Can write your signature down below please?
Santa's answers: RED, SORRY and if you want to see his signature, ask him yourself next year!
