Go over to that slot machine and win some money! And don't get caught! Just kidding, we had a great time in Las Vegas this past weekend. We were only there for two nights, so we just spent it with Tina, our sister-in-law and her cute kids, who live in Pennsylvania. We will for sure catch our friends next time :)
When we got there Friday afternoon we hung out for a bit and then went to Tina's friend's house and the girls had a "glitter toe" pedicure. Not sure Drew had much fun, but he was a good sport about it. Then we went to an outdoor mall, again Drew was not too excited about the mall part. But he had a blast at the fountain part. They had a play area with fountains shooting up and play houses to run through with mazes. The kids loved it. On the way to the mall, Tina gave her flip flops to a homeless person who was walking in bare feet on the ridiculously hot concrete. Cute, thoughtful, 5-year old Allysson, my niece, was in my car and was so worried. She is precious. We loved listening to her philosophy on life. Danielle and I witnessed some toe-to-toe chest bumping between two customers at H&M who were fighting over one guy's wife's right to cut in line with her sister and then keep adding clothes to her transaction that her husband brought to her as she was checking out. VEGAS! Made me appreciate the slower pace of where I live. I would like an outdoor mall here though with all my favorite shops and a fun place for the kids. The next morning Carson and Drew played video games. Carson is my cute 2 1/2 year old nephew who laughs at everything and is always happy. Never seen a kid so good-natured.

Then we drove up some mountain (can't remember the name, it was like 30 miles northwest) and went on a hike called Little Falls hike. It felt like a real hike, the kind with cooler air and gorgeous scenery with colors. I loved it and the kids had fun. We even heard thunder!
I had to put this in, even though it is a horrible picture of Brinley. This is Brinley and Tina's mom Janice standing on line at the movies Saturday night. (We saw Despicable Me. The kids loved it, it was cute). Brinley loved Tina's mom the whole time. Brinley misses her grandmas, so she hung on to Janice. Janice let us stay at her house, packed our lunch for the hike, and packed all the popcorn that we smuggled into the movies (shhh...) She was such a gracious host, thanks so much Matt and Janice!

Is it sad that a 15 year old girl can look at your vegas pictures and be like " oh she saw the movie at the Santa Fe casino?" hahaha did I get it right?
Looks SO fun! That picture of the slots is hillarious!
